Trump hardens his position.

Big news today:Trump fires his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, and replaces here with MAGA hard-core Stephen Miller.

Click here for Heather Cox Richardson's diary entry, Letters from an American, on Substack for November 6.

She points out how Trumpism, and with it the beliefs of Stephen Miller, were firmly rejected in Tuesday's election, and yet Trump appoints a hard-core ideologue as his chief of staff.

Miller was already assistant chief of staff, so things might not change much. But Miller has often been described as Trump's power behind the throne, and it looks as though, as Trump concentrates more and more on his vanity and home renovation projects, Miller might take even more control.
