UPDATE: A man who said he was investigating a conspiracy theory about Hillary Clinton running a child sex ring out of a pizza place fired an assault rifle inside the Washington, D.C., restaurant on Sunday injuring no one, police and news reports said.

If you don't know what "Pizzagate" is, consider yourself lucky; it's a despicable, stomach-turning lie about Hillary Clinton. General Mike Flynn, Trump's appointee for national security adviser, is among those tweeting the story to his 100,000+ followers -- as is his son, Michael Flynn Jr.

Police detained a man armed with an assault rifle at Comet Ping Pong, a popular pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C. There are conflicting reports about whether or not shots were fired.

“One person said he wanted to line us up in front of a firing squad,” Matt Carr, the owner of a nearby coffee shop, told the Post.

Of Sunday’s incident, he said: “This was our worst fear, that someone would read all this and come to the block with a gun. And today it happened.”
