Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:15pm They blinked. Once again the pathetic need of the Repubs for media approval has reared it’s ugly head. When are they ever going to learn. The left-wing media will NEVER love them and the Dems will only continue to roll them at every turn. We will never have a chance until we rid ourselves of ALL career politicians, R & D. They must all go, all 535 of the useless b******s.

With talk of tolerance and how we need to protect womens RIGHT to healthcare and murder. Having my sole income from the government, I’d much rather a shutdown than the GOP back down like a bunch of wusses. Gag.Me.

His wanna be excellecy of self, Obama, was all but gloating fully over this news when he spoke just a bit ago on the radio. Tommorow he most likely will be crowing on how he once again saved the nation for the collective whole.

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:37pm Yes, I’m vindicated again. Republicans haven’t changed or learned their lesson; they are in fact, just “Democrat Light”. I’d say that we should be loudly expressing our disdain, but we’ve already tried that, and as we see, to no avail. It seems to me I’ve read something… somewhere… that addressed this kind of situation…

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:44pm America lost on this deal.
The Dems redefined the issue as the Repugs being hung up over a $5-7 billion difference between two partisan plans.
But the issue was NOT about the two offers in cuts. The issue was between the $1.3 trillion in annual deficits and the Repugs offer of $60 billion!

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:45pm Over a decade, the agreement would cut more than $500 billion from the federal budget, Boehner added, according to a participant in the meeting. Can you believe a half trillion over a DECADE! obummer is racking up trillions a YEAR! While I’m very disappointed, I think we need to see how the 2011 budget goes. Boehner may have given away restricting PP funding (I don’t know yet), but we still have the ability to jettison education, energy, health and human resources, and several other departments. Budget POWER is invested in the House (Tea Party Power Seat). odumbo blinked (he’s basically a coward) and his numbers are dropping. Ryan’s budget will be the real test (along with raising the debt limit) and the dems are retreating (soon they will be in full retreat). Prosser looks like he will retain his seat in Wisconsin, unions are becoming irrelevant (it will take time – the progressives are very entrenched, and we are just beginning – but we are WINNING!

Libertarians call for permanent government shutdown
WASHINGTON – As elected officials put on a dog-and-pony media show about a temporary shutdown of small parts of the federal government, the Libertarian Party calls for a permanent shutdown of most of the federal government.
Libertarian Party Executive Director Wes Benedict said, “Just think how a permanent government shutdown would allow so many Americans to regain the blessings of liberty.
“Education would blossom as the Department of Education ended its War on Learning, no longer wasting our money and preventing educational innovation with one-size-fits-all centralized mandates.
“Job opportunities at companies big and small would multiply, providing opportunity and choice for American workers.
“The world would enjoy peace as we withdrew our forces from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. Our government spends almost as much on the military as the rest of the world combined. Millions of industrious men and women who work for the military and its contractors could be focusing on building up our economy, rather than tearing down others’.
“Crime would plummet as the government’s War on Drugs ended, no longer sustaining a giant violent black market and overfilling our prisons.
“The life of many poorer Americans would improve as welfare programs stopped, no longer trapping low-income families in an endless cycle of government dependency.
“All Americans would feel a huge burden lifted every April, as they were no longer required to wrestle with a byzantine and oppressive IRS.
“But most importantly, Americans would once again be free of unjust and unconstitutional violations of their unalienable rights.”
Benedict added, “We’re not talking about eliminating the federal government. We want to end all federal activities that are not authorized by the Constitution, and we want to cut everything else as much as we can. In 2000, the federal government spent $1.8 trillion. This year it’s expected to spend $3.8 trillion. Things are going the wrong way — fast.”

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:58pm So what else is new? The Rebulicans ALWAYS cave in. The cut of 61 billion dollars the Republicans proposed was only 1.5% of the budget so WHY NOT MAKE THE DEMOCRAPS agree to that miniscule amount? HA! Nothing has changed. A lot of hot air and posturing but Boener let the Democrats know early on he was going to get his people to cave in; after that, it became only a question of HOW MUCH.

The same way CONGRESSMAN (out for himself) does not equal STATESMAN (out for the people). Most of these guys are politicians out for their own power. Hopefully the tea party freshmen will be more like statesmen and we will get enough next go round to shift the power from the politicians to the statesmen.

Nothing will be achieved in this term. There is not going to be any 500 or 200 or 100 billion cuts in future. If they cannot hold their nerve on an abortion funding issue with 60/70 % support, how will they fight the tough ones on health care with just over 50 % support and social security where it will need risking ones reelection. Where the cuts will come from other wise? Democrats made their support base happy and will leave GOP alone to fight for the unpopular cuts. How a negotiator can think that they can give once and will not have to give again. Why do they not just listen to Gov Palin and defer to her in all negotiations?

            Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:27pm 39 billion on this bill….
12 billion on the last 1 week CR
10 billiion on the 2 week CR before that one….
and they got 4 or 6 billion in the extension in early January that pushed the deadline to March
so about 65 billion total….Boehner only said 61 Billion at the beginning of the year….Ryan said 100 billion and the 60 Tea Party House Reps ran on the 100 billion platform….
Boehner needs to be removed as speaker…we need Ryan….

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:39pm Whoa, the Tea Party members did NOT run on a 100 billion dollar cut. That 100 billion was the Republican “pledge”, which amounts to barely 1% of the budget… an f’ing joke. The Tea Pary members ran on balancing the budget and cutting the size of government.
Ryans plan is better but still takes 26 years to balance the budget. That is still a joke.

They try that and they will see “grassroots” they have never seen before .. we all know people who are of the same mind as the TEA Party but won’t get involved … they try to take away the 2012 election and even those people will be engerized.

Umm. Methinks God won’t have mercy on US.US have turned our backs on Him.
US are killing defenceless children in the woumb by the millions.
US have determined that lifestyles of Abomination is really just alternative lifestyles.
            Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter
Woe unto US. His wrath will descend on US. Of this I have no doubt.

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:12pm The cuts in the most extreme case aren’t even close enough. I’m disappointed. Not because I wanted troops to miss a check, but because I want people to see what government is really good for, and that’s handing out checks. They have very little real use. Republicans should have played harder. Reed is out of his mind.

Posted on April 8, 2011 at 11:14pm Did Obama just take credit for cutting the budget – he was AGAINST IT… then claimed he cut taxes when they only kept Bush’s Tax cuts and he took credit for that when he was AGAINST…. I am quite disgusted by this empty shirt the left bows down too… gage, choke, gage…
The Dems failed, lied over and over, called names today, and now take credit for doing something they did not want too!
I mean the dems had to call lobbtists to get permission to cut the budget!
