Will The Election Be Seen As Legitimate?

Click here for an article in The Washington Post by Philip Bump entitled "A quarter of Trump supporters say they won’t accept a Clinton victory."

There are a number of interesting graphs which I won't reproduce here, but to the question "If your cadidate loses, what will you do?", just over 10% of Clinton supporters said they would not accept the results; 27% of Trump supporters said they would not.

To the question "How often does voter fraud happen?", more than 70% of Clinton supporters said "Not very much" or "Not at all"; that was matched by 15% of Trumpists.

"Confidence that votes will be counted correctly": About 10% of Clinton supporters said "Not much" or "None"; that was the answer of about 40% of Trumpers.

Bump says:
We've pointed out again and again and again and again and again that Trump's claims of rigging and rampant fraud are nonsense. They are now and always were nonsense, whipped up by a candidate who's unwilling to admit defeat.

But as with so many questionable things Trump says, his supporters are inclined to believe him. Meaning that we shouldn't be at all surprised to see the results of a Hillary Clinton victory angrily disputed.
